I have a wine cooler – basically an air conditioner that mounts in the wall of a wine storage cabinet – that had stopped cooling. I had already removed it from the cabinet and set it up on a bench on my driveway when Yagub and Elham arrived. Yagub did a good job of briefing me on what to expect before he even started – it had probably leaked its refrigerant and they cannot really fix a leak, but he could put in "Freeze Leak" that often works, but no warranty on how long it would last. He also provided an accurate estimate of the various charges – nearly $300, but compared to $1100 for a new one, I was willing to give it a try – though it does seem 5 years is about the lifetime for these things.
The whole repair, including disassembly, reassembly, installing a valve, vacuuming out old coolant, putting in FreezeLeak, and recharging with factory amount of fresh coolant took a little over 2 hours. It is working well again, for 2 weeks now. How long it lasts will be more telling on the quality of FreezeLeak than on the repair job.
